About Frank VanderSloot

Frank L. VanderSloot is the founder and executive chairman of Melaleuca: The Wellness Company, and he served as Melaleuca’s CEO for 37 years. Frank has overseen Melaleuca’s development into a multinational consumer products company with annual sales of over $2 billion.  A member of the Inc. 500 Hall of Fame, Melaleuca employs over 5,200 people and has been named in two consecutive years by Forbes magazine as one of America’s best employers.

Throughout his career, Frank’s business leadership and philanthropic activity have been recognized by regional and national organizations. Frank has been named Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young, USA Today, and CNN. He has been inducted as a lifetime member of the Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans and has accepted the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Blue Chip Award.

Since the late 1990s, Frank has served on the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and he is a member of the Chamber’s Executive Committee.

In addition to his business pursuits, Frank is also heavily engaged with community outreach and philanthropic giving through the Melaleuca Foundation, which regularly runs to the rescue to provide relief after natural disasters and is the sole financial sponsor for an Ecuadorian orphanage. The American Red Cross and The Salvation Army have honored Frank with prestigious awards for his humanitarian work after hurricanes and other natural disasters.

Prior to taking the reins at Melaleuca in 1985, Frank filled key leadership positions at two Fortune 500 companies, serving in vice presidential roles for Automated Data Processing and Cox Communications.

In addition to his work with Melaleuca, Frank owns of one of the most extensive commercial cattle operations and purebred Angus ranches in the country.

He graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management.
